To us, sustainability means always adapting our practices to make a positive impact. That’s why while we’re proud of the strategies, dedication and commitment reflected below, we’re continuously seeking advancements through new ideas.
Sustainability is at the core of GOP and is reflected in almost all of our services. Do you have items you no longer want? We’ll buy them back and offer them on our Used Showroom for others to repurpose. Do you have old items in need of reupholstery or repair? We’ve repaired thousands of furniture pieces to date, and can do the same for you.
Our facility is another example of our deep commitment to sustainability. To date, we’ve prevented tens of thousands of bottles from being wasted with our water bottle refilling station. We’ve installed occupancy sensors on task lights in workstations to save electricity. Our renovation was designed with sustainability in mind. This is evident in our reused cabinetry, supplementing our existing furniture with new products that were built with sustainable characteristics, and 100% recyclable, 100% PVC free carpet tiling.
Packing materials can add up, especially at GOP. That’s why we reuse everything we can, including bubble wrap, Styrofoam popcorn material, and plastic chair bags. We recycle everything that we can’t reuse, including excess cardboard, fluorescent bulbs, wood pallets, scrap metal, toner cartridges, and hazardous liquids. We also strive to use blanket wrapping for orders, further preventing wasted materials where we can.
Our business is only as sustainable as our staff. By offering recycling canisters at each workstation, we’ve recycled thousands of pounds of paper. We also reduced our paper usage by saving documents electronically. But waste doesn’t stop at paper alone. That’s why we’ve also placed recycling receptacles throughout our facility and offer mobile recycling units, allowing us to properly sort paper, plastic, bottles, glass and aluminum cans.
