About Feed My Starving Children

Feed My Starving Children’s Mission

Feed My Starving Children is a Christian nonprofit organization that is on a mission to feed starving children who are hungry in both body and spirit. Gracious donations help supply rice, soy, dried vegetables and a nutritionally complete blend of vitamins and minerals which are then packed by volunteers and shipped to partners to distribute to hungry children. Since 2009, FMSC has sent food to over 100 countries across the globe and will continue their work until all are fed.

Our Volunteer Experience

15 members of the GOP team started their mornings a little early in order to help pack nutritious meals for the hungry. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the volunteer coordinators and were given our volunteer gear plus a brief overview of who FMSC is and their core values/mission. We were fortunate to be able to view a video that showed us a clip of one of the families that we would be making food for in Haiti. It was a nice personal touch to remind us of the mission that we were helping.

The task at hand was to pack meals into bags and boxes to be shipped out to the children in need. Most of us were in an assembly line helping with packing, weighing, sealing and boxing the meals. A couple of us also worked in their warehouse, helping to create and place labels.

How did we do?
Boxes packed: 206
Meals: 44,496
Kids Fed For a Year: 121
Cost: $10,679.04

Thank you to everyone at FMSC for the amazing work that you are doing and for allowing us to be a part of your mission.
